Druid is no longer the top-ranked build in Diablo 4 Season 14. Currently, the build with the highest tower clear count is Poison Pestilent Swarm Spiritborn build, which is undoubtedly the best fit for Pandemonium Ruptures.
When Ruptures spawn large, dense groups of monsters, Poison Pestilent Swarm Spiritborn build releases a large number of Pestilent Swarms, clearing monsters through continuous poison damage and wide-area spread, offering high mobility.
IGGM.com today wants to introduce a third, different development path – Counterattack of the Swarm. This path is more versatile and practical than the two currently known paths. You can use it for various Diablo 4 Season 14’s War Plans node events, and it’s also faster to build.

Main Skills
Ravager
In this build, Ravager primarily serves to increase damage, maintain resource rotation, and improve skill fluidity.
While not the primary damage skill, leveling it up provides a higher bonus damage multiplier and a minimum Ferocity, improving the stability of the skill rotation.
Counterattack of the Swarm
This is the primary damage source for this build. It releases three swarms of Pestilent Swarms, each lasting 3 seconds and dealing 150% damage per second to enemies. They automatically seek out enemies and cover multiple targets, continuously stacking poison damage.
Additionally, it has a passive effect that inflicts Weaken effect on nearby enemies, making them vulnerable when attacked.
Scourge
Primarily responsible for applying poison, weakening enemies, and providing a sustained damage-boosting environment, it is the core support ability of the entire Diablo 4 Season 14 Pestilent Swarm Build.
The Devourer
Its main role is not simply burst damage, but rather maximizing the build’s sustained damage by amplifying poison damage, creating a poisonous area, and enhancing Pestilent Swarm Build’s finishing ability.
Toxic Skin
Its role is to provide sustained poison damage, overall mobility, resource cycling, and survivability. Its passive effect is that when attacked by an enemy, the enemy themselves are poisoned, increasing the build’s survivability while maintaining high damage output.
Rushing Claw
Rushing Claw is primarily responsible for movement, closing the distance to enemies, triggering skill rotations, and improving map clearing smoothness. Since Pestilent Swarm Build is a melee combat build, Rushing Claw allows for quick map movement, avoiding being surrounded.
Based on its skill effects, IGGM.com recommends pairing it with a ring that makes Pestilent Swarm revolve around you, a helmet to boost the build’s damage, and synergistic Aspects.
Gear
Harmony of Ebewaka
Harmony of Ebewaka is the core Unique helmet for Pestilent Swarm Spiritborn. Its value lies in converting Spirit Hall into direct damage multipliers, allowing your skills to gain multiple Spirit tags simultaneously.
In Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening, you can obtain this ring by challenging Beast in the Ice and consuming Distilled Fear to unlock Boss Hoard. This is the most stable and efficient method.
Ring of Writhing Moon
It automatically generates Pestilent Swarms that attack the player character, providing additional resource effects during the attack. The fastest way to obtain it is by farming Echo of Varshan; the ring is in its drop pool.
While it can also be obtained by defeating other bosses or through Explorer of Curiosities, IGGM.com recommends prioritizing Varshan.
Aspect
Aspect of Glynn’s Anvil
This is a very powerful Defensive Aspect, providing excellent defensive capabilities for your build. Its core value lies in using Resolve to convert a large amount of Damage Reduction, allowing Swarm Spiritborn to safely engage in close-range combat.
In Diablo 4 Season 14, Swarm will randomly appear on Mythic Uniques. Therefore, you need to farm War Plans event nodes and World Boss.
Aspect of Pestilence
Aspect of Pestilence is the core offensive aspect of the entire build. It directly enhances Swarm’s damage, duration, and movement. Combined with main damage-dealing skills, it can significantly boost the build’s damage output. It is unlocked directly after completing Hallowed Stones.
Aspect of Debilitating Toxins
This defensive aspect is very suitable for high-level endgames. It utilizes Poisoned status of enemies to provide additional damage reduction, allowing you to cast skills more safely in groups of monsters.
Aspect of Debilitating Toxins may be extracted in Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening Mythic Uniques.
IGGM.com recommends players farm World Boss – Corrupted Reaper, as it has a fixed Mythic Uniques drop pool and is one of the main ways to farm Mythic Uniques in the endgame.
Opening its drop chest requires a Superior Lair Key, which can be farmed in Deathtoll Chamber, but you need to clear all the monsters in Ruptures and Realmwalkers before you can enter, which is very time-consuming and laborious.
Therefore, you can also directly buy Diablo 4 Lair Boss Keys from IGGM.com, saving more time and effort.

Aspect of Apprehension
It provides a consistent damage boost to this build through the control effects and fear status of Scourge. The most reliable way to obtain it is by completing Skatsimi Fane.
Aspect of Infestation
Aspect of Infestation is one of the core damage aspects of Pestilent Swarm Spiritborn, providing additional poison damage based on 125%-175% of the build’s own damage for 6 seconds. It also needs to be obtained from Mythic Uniques.
Aspect of Supremacy
Gaining Supremacy stacks by killing enemies during the activation of the ultimate ability provides a significant multiplicative damage boost. This is a late-game damage-enhancing build, one of the reasons why this build is also suitable for the endgame of Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening.
Insatiable Aspect
Insatiable Aspect further increases damage taken from Crowd Controlled enemies by 60%-90%.
As for Spirit Hall, IGGM.com recommends Gorilla as the first choice and Eagle as the second. The former provides a shield, while the latter provides a vulnerability effect, allowing Counterattack of the Swarm build to balance damage and defense.
The build’s requirements are also not high, and it can be quickly completed even in Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening, where Mythic Uniques drops have been nerfed.
